We are looking for an apprentice.

The company has been organically growing over the years and we find it very hard to find the perfect addition to our team as what we are doing is quite unique and requires a very special person.

Please note that although this is an apprentice position – we hope whoever we take on will meet our requirements and remain within our team as a full time salaried employee.

It takes between 6months to a year to learn how to make the smallest globes… so we need someone patient and passionate who will commit to the learning process and wants to stay in the company for at least 3 years afterwards.

We are looking for someone with an artistic background… you should be comfortable working with paper as a big part of globe-making is stretching delicate paper. It would be great if you can also use illustrator… are handy with exacto-knives and obviously have a passion for maps and design!

The team is very involved with new ideas and shaping the future of the company so things like wanting to be involved in designing new bases for the globes or thinking of new product ideas will be very welcome.

It is a really great place to learn and grow within a creative place – for the right person this will result in a full-time job, we are based in a beautiful old warehouse right off Church Street in Stoke Newington.

You must be patient, light with your hands, work well as a part of a team, take direction well, be loyal and honest and quick to learn and eager to take on new responsibilities.

Please send CV with a brief cover letter telling us about yourself, your previous experience and answering;

1.Why do you want to be a globe maker? What do you hope to gain by working with us?

2. What are your future plans as an artist, where do you see yourself in 5 years? Do you have time to commit to this apprenticeship and would you look forward to a future within the company if offered?

3. What motivates you?

4. What did you study in school? What did you hope to do with your degree if you earned one?

You must live in London or be planning to live in London to apply. Job can start straight away for right person. Email :: jade@bellerbyandco.com.
